Le Touquet Paris-Plage 2007
This summer, from 26 May till 2 September 2007, Le Touquet Paris-Plage will host a Sand Sculpture exhibition, the finest of its kind. The very best Sand Artists from all over the world will have recreated Ancient Egypt and will make you discover the Tomb of Tutankhamen.
Whether it be from the quality of the sand or the quantity of it, be it the numbers of professional Sand Sculptors coming from all places or the number of working days it took to build this exhibition, no matter how you look at it, this event outnumbers anything shown so far in France.
The two colossi of Memnon, 5 meters high each, welcome you and lead you to the Alley of the Sphinxes where you start your expedition through Ancient Egypt. The many mysteries of the Pharaonic civilisation have been recreated in the first Sand Sculptures Le Touquet Paris-Plage.
Go down in the Tomb of Tutankhamen. In this sheltered part you will follow the trace of Carter and find this incredible treasure. Suddenly, you will be facing the sarcophagus: an intense moment… You will notice that everybody around you is either silent or is whispering at the very most. This encounter with the superb mask of the most famous of Pharao’s is really impressive.
A unique event, an inescapable itinerary, an unforgettable excursion!
